Herbal Medicine Making Workshop: Tincture Formulation for Winter Wellness
Having the right herbal remedies on hand to combat that sore throat, cough & flu in its early stages is key to preventing illness and infection. Through bolstering the respiratory, immune, digestive, and adrenal functions with herbs, we can be one step ahead of chronic seasonal illness. In this workshop we will learn about some amazing herbal allies like yarrow, elder, elecampane, and more for common Winter complaints. In addition to learning the various herbal allies, we will formulate a cold/flu prevention tincture for participants to take home.

Herbalist Brita Zeiler has spent 10 years studying and practicing Western folk herbalism throughout the Pacific Northwest. Brita’s herbal practice cultivates an intimate & intuitive connection to self, plants, ecologies, and people. Emphasizing that medicine making and self care are forms of creativity, enjoyment, and self expression.
Brita currently resides in NE Portland, OR, where she operates the holistic skincare line, Cordial Waters. She also works with clients one on one in herbal consultations, and teaches herbalism & cooking classes throughout the Northwest.
